LUNARLINE, INC. CEO TO SPEAK AT CSI 2009 IN WASHINGTON, DC
News Release: Lunarline, Inc. CEO to Speak at CSI 2009 in Washington, DC about the new Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) Security and Privacy Profile (SPP).
Lunarline, Inc. CEO Waylon Krush will be presenting the Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) Security and Privacy Profile (SPP) tool At CSI 2009 on Tuesday (October 27, 2009) 4:00pm - 5:00pm at the Gaylord National Resort in National Harbor, MD. The presentation will introduce a methodology for addressing and quantifying information security and privacy as it relates to the development and acquisition of secure and resilient Federal Information Systems.
The session, titled Federal Enterprise Architecture Security and Privacy Profile Tool, will focus on a straightforward process for selecting and quantizing the costs for security and privacy controls during design of architected solutions. This methodology, initiated by the Federal CIO Council and in collaboration with NIST, introduces the Federal Enterprise Architecture Security & Privacy Profile (FEA SPP) tool which integrates the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF) and the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) allowing users with the ability to understand and select information security controls relevant to the system or process risk associated with the mission of the Agency. The FEA SPP tool also helps Agencies quantify the actual costs of baking the security and privacy controls into the information system. The FEA SPP tool was updated to handle all security controls used in the Federal Government to include Federal Civilian, Department of Defense (DoD) and the Intelligence Community (IC) with NIST SP 800-53 Revision 3. Recent updates also include a much more secure and robust web based version.
Ensure to reserve your spot ASAP! This session has been given to a “standing room only” crowd of Enterprise Architecture, Information Technology and Information Assurance professionals at several security, privacy, and architecture conferences in 2008 and 2009.
